Junk Bonanza welcomes Florence + Florence, which is bringing its whimsical paper goods to the Portland show!
Name:
Amy Prince
Business name:
Florence + Florence Paper Goods
Live in/Business located:
Sauvie Island, OR
Your style in three words:
snarky, simple, bold
On your junking bucket list:
to attend the Country Living Fair
You knew you were a junker when…
I wished we hadn’t sold my grandmother’s ice box so that I could use it for storage. I do have several of the drawers, however!
Best all-time junking find:
I am not a huge spender so when I find something it is usually to help with my booth or displays. I LOVE my plaid, metal picnic baskets and I ‘ve got some great chicken nesting boxes with handles.
You wish you would never have parted with…
Not sure I have parted with anything I really love. I get asked all the time about my typewriter and a set of antlers that belonged to my grandfather.
Bringing to the Bonanza:
Greeting cards and gift cards created with my grandmother’s 1941 typewriter and Sharpies, paper ephemera, Mason jars, antique tools and miscellaneous fun small stuff!
You never junk without…
…thinking where something might be stored. Small house and too many wishes!
In your garage: cars or junk?
Believe it or not, we don’t have a garage!
No one would ever guess you…
…own a Spanish language typewriter and it is in fabulous shape.
Your junking holy grail:
Just an old barn somewhere with a lot of containers to open, boxes to be discovered, paper ephemera and a cursive typewriter!
…as if we would still use rotary phones, write more letters and spend Sunday afternoons eating fried chicken and drinking lemonade.
