Specializes in:
lamps and lamp shades! Lamps made from antique lightning rods (thanks to Tom Irwin!), tripods and other cool junk. Shades are made from 35mm slides, old book pages and maps and all kinds of paper. We’re also bringing bookish antiques and a few delightful surprises.

Jess: the first time I saw one of Dad’s lightning rod lamps
Bren: When I was in high school my Dad put a glass top on Grandpa’s huge old Red Wing crock and used it as an end table. Something clicked. I see many uses for old things.

Jess: busy, geek, traveler
Bren: practical, creative, insomniac

illuminating, repurposed, colorful

If you couldn’t be a junker, you’d be:

Bren: retired in Savannah

a charcoal portrait from one of the other Junk Bonanza vendors last year
We can barely stand that it’s 53 days until the Bonanza, when we’ll get a chance to ogle Light Reading’s accumulated treasures! Are you counting the days yet?!

  1. My favorite is the London Underground map lampshade. Brings back memories of my cousin and I trying to master the maps while tourgin London. We never did…but still has a great time.
    Are you in the same spot as last year? See you at Junk Bonanza.
