Oftentimes, running a business requires its management to get its hands dirty!

One of the reasons we love Junk Bonanza’s founder, Ki Nassauer, is that she never tries to avoid hard work. Yesterday, though, she got a bit more than she bargained for!

Junk Bonanza’s event manager dispatched Ki and her sister, Karla, to the Vancouver Pumpkin Patch to pick up a bounty of seasonal orange orbs! We needed decor for the entrance to the Clark County Event Center in Ridgefield, WA, where the Bonanza is hosting its first Pacific Northwest show, starting Friday.

The Pumpkin Patch had generously offered to donate the pumpkins, as long as we could pass them on to a deserving group after the show. Thank you, Crystal, for all of your help!

K and K set off to retrieve the pumpkins…and found when they arrived that they would get to select each!

It was a thoroughly muddy — and enjoyable — job! Their rental car made for an unlikely wheelbarrow!

Come see their handiwork, displayed with beautiful mums, at the Bonanza!

pump10 Our amazing vendors are already styling the most fabulous displays of vintage, antiques, architectural salvage and artisan-repurposed and up cycled goods! We’re open 10AM-5PM Friday, 9AM-5PM Saturday and 9AM-4PM Sunday! And by all means, don’t forget to select your own pumpkins at the Vancouver Pumpkin Patch at 18905 NE 83rd St. in Vancouver!

We have to say it again: Junk Bonanza loves the Pacific Northwest!
