The Junk Bonanza #minneapolis staff has been in residence at CanterburyPark since mid-morning on Monday, prepping everything from vendor bags (pictured!) to taping floors to placing signage and unpacking hundreds of bags of chips for the vendor lunch!

We’ve had lengthy to-do lists to get ready for you!

We arranged hyacinths for our special guests! Annie Sloan brought her group from England, New York and New Orleans to help put on four free, hands-on workshops on the use of Chalk Paint® for Bonanza attendees!

(They are first-come, first served! Sign up in the Annie Sloan booth just inside the front doors of the Expo!)

Operations Director Eydie and Event Manager Krista Belle were awash in paperwork! (Note the empty Expo floor behind them!)

Vendor Manager Jane wore two hats Monday and Tuesday — she needed to set her booth for Mustard Moon and greet the early setup vendors on their way in!

Forty of them rolled in at 3PM!

Hauling commenced…

… a lot of large pieces were carted through the doors…

… and piles of junk began the transformation into beautifully staged booths!

Mr. Vintage Pixie was all smiles about his lady friends!

Karla checked inventory to ready for planting the big pots outside the Expo!

Peeps from Mama’s Happy arrived to unpack three pallets of Chalk Paint® for the Annie Sloan booth!

With booths still in the nascent stages, we couldn’t help but snap a few shots of the beautiful junk on the floor!

We saw color, texture, weathered wood…

… glam goods, wrought iron, architectural salvage…

… letters, rust, galvanized and concrete!

We love this telephone booth at First Pick Antiques! We expect it will be the source of more than one photo op during the show…before it is snapped up by some lucky attendee!

Today: Regular set-up starts and we get ready for opening day Thursday!

Don’t miss our Facebook Live event this evening when we give a preview of what the booths look like, all staged up!

You can still purchase Early Bird tickets at the door on Thursday for entry at 8AM — that’s two hours of prime picking before the doors open to general admission. (They’re good for regular admission Friday and Saturday, too!)

Ki and the team can’t wait to see you — just one more day!

Kim
