Come brush up on your painting skills with us @junkbonanza #minneapolis!
To pay homage to the vintage art of paint by numbers, we have turned four familiar Minnesota icons into oversized PBN canvases…for you to help complete during the Bonanza SEPT 22-24 at Canterbury Park!
At our behest, Spokane, WA, graphic designer Vanessa Swenson turned images of Paul Bunyan and Babe, Mickey’s Diner, the Grain Belt beer sign and the Time magazine cover of Gov. Wendy Anderson into PBN images.
This is what they’ll look like when YOU finish painting them!
The paintings have a 12-color palette! From 11AM-3PM each day at the Bonanza, you’ll have the opportunity to pick up a brush and add your strokes to one or more of the paintings!
We love these! We hope you’ll take some time to relax and paint in the Expo lobby when you’re ready to take a break from shopping!
We’re also preparing a fun backdrop for you composed entirely of actual vintage paint-by-number boards, some framed and some unframed! If you Instagram your photo in front of it and post with the hashtags #junkbonanza and #paintbynumbers, you will be entered to win a commemorative PBN T-shirt being designed by Chase Halland of farawaylovely.com! Chase is also lettering the greeting on our photo-op backdrop!
Ki and the team are excited to see you! Awesome junking and fun creativity — await in just 14 days!
