Meet Hope Chest MN, our nonprofit partner for Junk Bonanza Minneapolis!
This amazing organization has as its goal to provide the quickest access to help with the most urgent emergency needs of local, financially challenged breast cancer patients. It lists as its priorities:
- Keeping families intact in their current living situation…in their home, with that home warm and the lights on; helping them get to treatment by paying for childcare and transportation; helping them heal by providing access to nutritious meals for them and their families.
Hope Chest provides this service thru sale of donated items such as furniture, decorative items and antiques at two retail stores, in Orono/Navarre and Bloomington.
Thefor-profit resale shopsgenerate income to support charitable programs within the Twin Cities and Rochester areas.
It’s long-range goal? to open 50 resale shops nationwide and raise $10 million annually for breast cancer related programs.
The resale shops are open seven days a week and sell donated high-end women’s clothing and accessories as well as upscale furniture and home decor. The donated items allow the shops to sell them at well below retail cost!
The Hope Chest for Breast Cancer Foundation distributes annually to local hospitals, treatment centers, clinics and other human service organizations that provide emergency financial assistance. Learn more about them here:
