Sunday the Junk Bonanza team, visiting Ki in Los Angeles, visited the Melrose Trading Post!
It’s a great market, and vendor fees and admission support area schools such as Fairfax High School, one of the two high schools where the MTP is held weekly!
This was after scouring the Santa Monica Airport Antique Market earlier in the day! (You can catch up on those adventures here!)
The JB team has visited the Melrose flea before! It’s always packed with vendors, swell food and great people-watching.
There are handmade items, too. We loved these bamboo iPhone covers that had laser-etched designs, the work of two young brothers at GetRedPanda.com,
Vintage clothing abounds at the MTP!
VIntage jewelry is amazing, too!
Dustin from Uber Chic Home was on the grounds Sunday, too, wearing his patented smile, despite how hard he was working!
He snapped this pix for us in his booth, shortly before our sojourn ended.
Then it was back to Ki’s to await the Uber Car to the airport…
…where, once again, Jane’s carryon bag confounded the TSA!
That’s her waiting while a TSA worker checked out the lamp base, trophy and five key chains made from found parts she had jammed into a very heavy bag, along with several other pieces. Surprise! It all had to go back through the X-ray machine, even after being hand-inspected!
It was a very productive meeting and we’re well under way with plans for the Sept. 25-27 show!
We hope to see you there! You can get your Early Bird tickets NOW!
