Business name:
Ashley Fox Designs
Founded your business:
January 2008. I learned the techniques of floral design in 1999 and 2000 from a local floral shop.
Your passion:
It stems (pun intended) from a very young age when I was helping my Dad and grandparents in their gardens. I believe I was born with this love of plants and flowers. As I got older, gardening continued to be a part of my life into college, summer jobs and for five years at the MN Landscape Arboretum in the education department. After having children, I decided to start int he wedding floral business. My love of fashion anbd flowers fits right into this area of design and styling.

Background:
I grew up in Chaska, Minn., and live here with my family.
You love weddings because:
It is a happy day and I love seeing the smiles on people’s faces when I can help make their day beautiful and memorable. I also love seeing the bride’s dress. It is so inspiring and says so much about the woman wearing it. I use the dress to help me decide on color, textures and form within the bouquet and designs.
Favorite wedding-related item:
xMy love oflace and ribbon with the bride’s bouquet goes beyond words. Also, I loved using an antique bicycle with a cute basket at the entrance to the reception of a wedding. We displayed the bride’s bouquet in the basket. The couple were avid bikers, so the bicycle had meaning and function.
No one would ever guess you…
I love photographing mushrooms in the woods, but wouldn’t eat one even if you tried to pay me. Their texture is the worst thing I can think of.
