Favorite activity besides junking:
spending time with my new and first granddaughter, my children and bonfires with precious friends and loved ones.

Would save if the workshop were on fire:
nothing, it’s all replaceable. But now my house is another story. You’d find me hanging and tugging on my kitchen chandelier (given to me by my parents from the home I grew up in.) You can see pics of it on my Facebook page. I altered it a wee bit…

You knew you were a junker when:
I was about 7 years old and our neighbors moved. I couldn’t wait to go dig in the garbage pile they had outside their garage. (In fact, my Mom encouraged it; she was a thrifter always. With 6 kids, one had to be resourceful.) I still have some of the items I found. One is a picture of Jesus decoupaged onto a wood board. I still find it precious. And I remember thinking I couldn’t believe they would throw away Jesus. LOL. From that day on I was hooked!

Three words that describe you:
passionate, eccentric, energetic
Three words that describe your product:
romantic, tattered, innovative
If you couldn’t be a junker, you’d be a:
Vaudeville performer

You couldn’t stand to sell it once you found it:
This is a standing problem I have. Everything I buy I love. Sometimes my friends have to intervene; they help me keep my focus. My house is already full so my rule is: If something comes in, something’s gotta go!
Just as the junk has got to go out of the house, we have got to go to the junk!
Thank goodness for the Junk Bonanza (and that is is expanding to two times a year!) See you in September!

  1. So Beautiful!!! Can’t wait to see Mary’s booth at the Junk Bonanza. If I remember correctly those “Posh Girls” really know how to dress for a Bonanza. LOL
