My name is kasey….and i like to spend my days…..the one’s where my children are not

pulling my hair out….at the flea market.

I am really excited to be heading up to Junk Bonanza with some of my girlfriends in less then two weeks.

It will be a whirlwind trip….as i zip up and back down…but i know what i have in mind.

I’m one of those girls who knows exactly what she needs when she hits the flea.

I have my list…..but my eye still tends to wander.

{just don’t tell my husband about my wandering eye..}

I love pretty things.

I love to collect pretty things.

I just finished my daughter Lola’s room redo…in which i used all the vintage hat boxes i could

find though out my home….stacked them all up….and then hung some of the hats on the wall.

I like pretty things.

I love to flea market for pretty things.

Like these mix and match mirros on my bathroom wall…..

i also love to use flea market finds in the parties i have.

Take this vintage birdcage for instance…..i stuck a cake in it.

{it also helped keep me from eating it}

One of the best flea market finds was this old mirrored door i came home with last month….

i only paid $15 for it.

At first i thought it said $150…..but when i took a closer look…i about pee’d my pants.

I quickly paid the dealer….then hauled it off quicker then you can say…

pour me a glass of champagne so i can do a happy dance.

Needless to say…..this door looks real nice in my bedroom.

I love to entertain…..so i am always on the lookout for mix n match vintage tableware…

I also love different pieces like this turquoise bench….which came home with one of my friends….

she was quicker than i….

but i have a feeling….i will beat her to the punch when we

head up to Junk Bonanza.

I am always on the lookout for vintage frames as well…..

for my never ending collection on my wall.

I am really excited as the days tick down….to spend a few days at one of the

best flea markets in the country.

See you there!

** Thank you to my friend Kasey for writing this guest post, it’s nice to hear from flea fans -other than myself, of course! Please visit Kasey’s gorgeous and fun blog Lola B’s!

  1. Hi Jill and Kasey!
    I’m envious of your
    fast-snagging flea
    market skills : ) I
    usually get so over-
    whelmed when I go to
    these sales and have
    to do a few loops
    before I swoop! I am
    so excited to be
    coming to JB next
    Friday….Can’t wait.
    xx Suzanne

  2. HA….Suzanne beat me here…. :o) !!

What a LOVELY post Kasey….Perhaps we’ll get to exchange Treasure stories at the Bonanza….I’ve just added ‘pretty rounded birdcage’ to my list….hahahahaha….!!

    Cheers from Oz,
    Tamarah :o)

  3. Hey Kasey- So excited to hear you’re attending the JB this year. I’m a follower of your blog and so enjoy your postings and sense of humor. Hope to meet you one of the days, as I’m a vendor in the Main Bldg. K section with the booth of Mimi-Toria’s Designs/Jewelry. I will have vintage frames and cool vintage hats I’ve just pulled from my basement stash to sell in my space, so stop on in, introduce yourself, and looks around. So excited for tomorrow’s set up and than the event to get going. I’ve been working for months for this event. 🙂
