The Junk Bonanza has a new nonprofit partner!
ReUSE Minnesota, a consortium of organizations and businesses dedicated to reuse, rental and repair,  officially launched itself Wednesday in St. Paul.
Hundreds of interested attendees joined the group’s board in laying out a course of action (and enjoying a tasty buffet and glass of beer) at the Summit Brewing Tap Room!
(Poor lighting and a bad angle prevented me from getting a decent shot, but if you look closely, you’ll see the Tap Room’s chandeliers are made from box containers for Summit beer!)
Junkers will recognize a driving force behind this organization, the University of Minnesota’s ReUse Program! Who hasn’t foraged there for fab discards for repurpose and resale?!
Stacey White heads the new organization! She posed with Bonanza Event Manager Emily Nordstrom during a break in the action!

Carolyn Collopy of Minneapolis won the drawing for a pair of Early Bird tickets to the Junk Bonanza!
Nancy Lo from Hennepin County Fix-It Clinics
Susan Sochacki  talked with Em about Fixity in St. Paul.
Her earrings were upcycled from tin beer cans; artist unknown!
Arc’s Value Village, the Bonanza’s previous nonprofit partner, is also part of the new organization!
Madalyn Cioci of the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, a member of ReUSE Minnesota, gave the keynote address. The Bonanza is proud to be a new member of this organization. Watch for more information on future collaborations!
