The Farm Chicks

Serena of The Farm Chicks, is passionate about junking, baking, and creating fun projects. She co-founded The Farm Chicks Show located in Spokane Washington, co-created Farm Chick Style™ and is a Contributing Editor for Country Living Magazine. The Farm Chicks were recently featured on the CBS Early Show! Serena will be signing their newest book The Farm Chicks in the Kitchen on Thursday Sept. 17 and visiting with folks.

Old fashioned goodness! Shop Marshall’s Farm Market at the Bonanza for local harvest goods and homemade gourmet food items. Located at 9100 Eden Prairie Road, Eden Prairie MN, Marshall’s, is a multi generational fully operating farm using sustainable farming practices.

Some of the items you’ll find at Marshall’s Junk Bonanza booth include unique and heirloom pumpkins, in season veggies, gourds, squash, Indian corn, apples, honey, homemade jams, jellies, breads, beer mustard, pesto, pickled beets, salsa, brandied apple rings, along with containers of flowers, herbs and veggies. All locally grown! Stop by for some old fashioned fun!
 
     
   
 
  Gold & Silver Trading Post
Bring in your booty (pun intended) and trade it for some serious Junkin' money!! Colonial Estate Buyers, LLC will be running this little operation. They will buy your broken or unwanted gold, silver, platinum, jewelry, coins, paper money, watches, and even (yuck!) dental gold. (Premiums paid for finer vintage and antique jewelry.)

Colonial Estate Buyers have over 30 years experience and are licensed precious metal dealers. They know their stuff and will pay you top dollar for your items. What a great way to supplement your junk budget!

If you sell them at least $100 worth of stuff, they'll reimburse your $6 admission fee to the Bonanza. If you have questions contact Brian at 612-867-6682.

Shop Arc’s Value Village booth at Junk Bonanza for used and vintage wares. Every purchase and donation benefits the nonprofit organization Arc Greater Twin Cities, serving people with developmental disabilities and their families.

Arc’s Value Village offers an ever-changing array of used and new merchandise from flatware to formalwear.

Donations of clothing and household items are accepted seven days a week at Arc’s Value Village store locations and are tax-deductible. For locations visit www.arcsvaluevillage.org.

Please bring your donations to Junk Bonanza! Arc welcomes your tax deductible donations of clothing, accessories, household items, books, children’s items, and more. Arc’s blue truck will be on hand to collect donated items and provide tax receipts. Please see www.arcsvaluevillage.org for a list of donation guidelines. Contributions support people with developmental disabilities and their families through the services of the nonprofit Arc Greater Twin Cities.

Junk Bonanza's Thrifty Mom Table Top Challenge
Junk Bonanza's thrifty mom, Jill Hinson, will create a fabulous table setting for 8 from Arc's Value Village stores to demonstrate that entertaining can be stylish and thrifty at the same time. Jill's Challenge Table will be on display at Arc's Value Village Booth.

Bonanza attendees can register to win the entire table setting. Winner will be announced Saturday Sept. 19 2009 at 1: PM (Need not be present to win.)

Jill will share her shopping tips and thrifty inspirations!

Matthew Mead

Celebrity lifestyle and entertaining expert, Matthew Mead, Author of numerous books including Entertaining Simple and Matthew Mead's Halloween (debuts August 2009), Contributor to Better Homes and Gardens, Real Simple, In Style Weddings, Victoria, Country Home, Family Circle, Good Housekeeping, Do it Yourself, and Country Living has produced images for Pottery Barn, LL Bean, Target and Stonewall Kitchen, is a frequent contributor to the Discovery Channel & HGTV, and is a columnist for i village.com. Matthew has created products for Waterford Wedgewoods American Folk Art Museum collection.

Matthew is co-editor of Flea Market Style, a new decorating & lifestyle magazine created in partnership with Ki Nassauer. Get a sneak peek at the the Bonanza before the magazine hits the newstands early spring 2010.
