Enjoy the musings (and good humor!) of longtime Bonanza vendor, Buff’s Stuff!
Name:
Elizabeth Register
Vendor:
Buff’s Stuff
Lives in/Business located:
Eau Claire, WI
This will be Bonanza vendor appearance:
6, I think. I lost count because I’m a “senior junker” and can’t remember. You know you are a senior junker when you becaome a living antiques reference for your younger junker friends. As in: “About how old were you when this was popular?…”

Specializes in:
itty bitty pieces of ephemera, vintage jewelry, asssembled and altered vintage jewelry and parts. Vintage purses; show-stopping smalls.
Favorite activity besides junking:
drawing and painting. Sometimes on junk!
Would save if the workshop were on fire:
I’m thinkin’ I would catch fire trying to get it all out. Gads, how would I ever replace it?!

You knew you were a junker when:
my garage looked like a corn maze (of junk) and only I knew how to get in or get out or ever find anything. I also quickly closed my garage to avoid those neighbors who constantly say, “My gosh, Buffy, you need to have a garage sale!,” as though I hadn’t faced my junk problem! LOL

Three words that describe you:
impulsive, resourceful, imaginative
Three words that describe your product:
tempting tiny treasures

If you couldn’t be a junker, you’d be a:
a recovering junker, falling off the wagon frequently

You couldn’t stand to sell it once you found it:
a wonderful handcrafted antique bingo cage and balls (but I am going to make myself sell it.)
Well, who among us hasn’t been there?! Sometimes parting with treasures prevents us all from having garages like Buffy’s (though many of us do, and aren’t ashamed to admit it!)
Luckily, many vendors are ready to part with their finds at the Junk Bonanza!

  1. Smalls are good for those of us who fly up for the Bonanza…. easy to bring home. Can’t wait to see what Elizabeth brings this year.

  2. Elizabeth I think we are two of a kind. I’ve got the memory and “Corn Maze” gargage thing going on too! Thanks for sharing your comments. I’m looking forward to seeing your space at Junk Bonanza!
